Welcome to the web-site of Kielder Water Sailing Club.

Kielder Water Sailing Club is a friendly club for dinghy and catamaran sailors and windsurfers. Situated in north-west Northumberland in the heart of the giant Kielder Forest, Kielder Water is the largest man-made reservoir in northern Europe with a shoreline of more than 27 miles.

Because of the size of Kielder Water the sailing club offers membership to all classes of sailing dinghy and catamaran. Quite literally everyone is welcome from the experienced sailor looking for a new challenge to the absolute beginner who has yet to find their sea legs.

Kielder Water Sailing Club runs RYA approved sailing courses to help members learn to sail. Our excellent training team use club owned Wayfarers, Comets, Optimists and Toppers for instruction and these boats are available for use by club members when they are not being used for training. If you visit the club as a total novice you will also find that members are normally willing to take you out for a sail as an introduction to the sport. Visit the Training page for more information.
